About Blu Hawaii Pomeranians
Aloha! I’m Renee, the preservation breeder behind Blu Hawaii Pomeranians. I am a small hobby breeder and show dog conformation enthusiast, located on the Island of Oahu (Hawaii). My breeding program is unique in our breed as I specialize in less traditional AKC recognized colors. Specifically, we produce chocolate and lavender partis, tri-colors and merles. In addition, all of our Pomeranians are genetically tested via Embark and UC Davis as well as OFA tested and AKC Registered. Breeding the healthiest Pomeranians is core to my program.
I grew up in a dog sport environment and taught the importance of stewardship and caring for God’s furry creatures, whether for show, agility, special service, or companion. I am passionate about the health and well being of my dogs, and they live underfoot in my home, all spoiled.
I am proud to be the only Preservation Breeder of Pomeranians in the State of Hawaii that practices health testing.
Hawaii's 1st Chocolate Parti Champion
Exciting news! We are pleased to announce that "Tiki" has obtained his AKC Championship (2024) and is now Hawaii's 1st Chocolate Parti Pomeranian Champion! Less than a year with limited showings, Team Tiki did it!
About Our Breeding Program
Our Dams and Sires are all imported from quality show line breeders and are health cleared, DNA/OFA tested and AKC Registered. Puppies will be made available after they are fully health cleared and evaluated. Generally, this can take up to 12 weeks of age. This allows us to give better insight into the puppy's temperament, size prediction and personality. As carefully as we plan each breeding and care for each puppy and adult, we will be equally as careful placing any companion puppies in their perfect home. We believe strongly in matching our puppies with the right forever homes and are very particular with where our bloodlines go.
We appreciate your time to complete our puppy application and you'll be the first to know when they arrive.

Companion Homes
Companion puppies are occasionally available for adoption on a Companion agreement requiring them to be neutered/spayed.

Guardianship Homes
We also have Guardianship agreements for puppies, who are still valuable to my program, but would be best suited to a pet home, to get one on one attention. These Pomeranians would remain intact, for collection or breeding at various times.

Conformation Homes
Lastly, we have Show Conformation agreements which are for Pomeranian puppies showing show potential. These puppies are paired with families that would like to learn and show in the sport of conformation.

What is a "Preservation Breeder?"
To some, breeding is a matter of putting two dogs of the same breed together, and boom - you have "purebred dogs." But for others, there is so much more to it than that.
To a Preservation Breeder, there are four P's:
Preserve. Protect. Predict. Purpose.
Preservation Breeders pride ourselves on being producers of predictable, purpose-bred pure-bred dogs. It comes with hours of thought, careful consideration, scrutiny and discipline. This is a relatively new term to the dog world, but one who's meaning helps set good, ethical and responsible breeders apart from the rest.
So, what does this mean for you as a buyer? It means that you can rest assured knowing they are dedicated to breeding solely for the purpose of preserving and protecting the original purpose. You can know that you are getting a companion that is healthy, of sound body and mine, and predictable in nature.
Preservation Breeders take the guesswork out of your next dog's history, health, predicted size, temperament, and life expectancy. They can do this because they invest time into showing their dogs to make sure they meet AKC Standards. They take the time to health test as per their breed's parent club recommendations. They make hard decisions like taking dogs that aren't fit for breeding out of their breeding programs. Preservation Breeders stand behind their dogs for the entirety of it's life, willing to take a dog back for any reason and at any time, if the owner can no longer care for it.
They serve as mentors and teachers throughout the dog's life as you navigate dog ownership. And finally, they are honest and forthcoming when it comes to protecting the well being of every dog they produce and the breed as a whole.
